Bio
Bootytank's origins date back to may of 2000, When vocalist "Freak" and guitarist "J-Smooth" decided to start a band...no, a revolution. These two self diluted individuals, during an all night drinking binge, resolved to start the punk band to end all punk bands. Their expectations were high. The next morning however,in the throes of a massive hangover, realized that in order to succeed, they needed more than the two of them. This didnt stop them from recording their first demo with a drum machine, a guitar, and that same guitar poorly tuned down to represent a bass. Cant forget the massive amount of alchohol also. Now the search was on for a line up.
After many months, several line ups, and countless midnight barbecues, They finally found their drummer through a man at (of all places) a local bar. Bill Bastard officially jumped on the Tank 2 weeks later. Bill's manic drumming and relentless pimping appealed to the bands image, and he fit in like a hooker on prom night.Things were starting to look good for these local Fremont, Ohio punk rockers when out of nowhere a scam artist by the name of Courtland Tyler approached them. They were offered a multi-album record contract after being heard by him through an agency called Talent 2k. To make a long story short, they were taken for a $1,500 ride, and told jetspeed records to "piss off!!"
The next to join the band was a guy they called "Hippie". A homeless scumbag but a great guitarist, eventually quit just 2 hours before a sold out show in Cleveland . By this time they had recruited a foul-mouthed, chainsmoking prick named Eddie. Calling himself the Creeper, based on his love for horror flicks and spying on women in their underwear, joined the tank only 2 days before they were to play the 2002 Cleveland music fest.

Out of 64 bands, Bootytank recieved one of the best reviews in some of the local 'zines. What does the future hold for these 4 scumbags? Only time will tell, but with a live album and a studio album in print...and a following more loyal than the branch davidians, it's pretty safe to say that NOBODY IS SAFE WHEN THE TANK ROLLS INTO TOWN!!!!
